HYPERION TO PUBLISH DILBERT™ BOARD GAME

“In the battle against stupidity and incompetence, sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.”

Minneapolis, Minnesota
May 25, 2006

Hyperion, Inc is pleased to announce the acquisition of board game rights to the Dilbert syndicated comic, represented by United Media. Created by Scott Adams, the Dilbert daily comic strip appears in 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries in 25 different languages. More than 20 million Dilbert books and calendars have sold in North America alone; several titles cumulatively spending over one year on The New York Times Best Seller List.

Hyperion plans to publish a large board game that will capture the Dilbert themes of absurdity in the workplace for release early in fourth quarter, with an estimated retail price of $29.95. The game will combine typical board game strategy elements with party game style play.

Hyperion CEO Brian Wood commented, “Dilbert is the hero of every workplace. For every motivational poster hanging in corporate offices, you’ll find a dozen Dilbert strips pinned to cubicles. I’ve been a huge fan of the strips since I entered the workplace, and I’m thrilled to now have the opportunity to bring Dilbert to a board game format.”

Scott Adams remarked, "The challenge will be in figuring out how to design the game so that player with the best hair always wins."

Hyperion, Inc, a corporation with offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a producer of high-quality board games and card games. Hyperion’s products include the Vapor’s Gambit board game.

Dilbert is licensed and syndicated by United Media. United Media is a worldwide licensing and syndication company that focuses on building brand equity around a wide range of creative content.
